Corporate Board Room Table With Chairs.Now no longer working full time, Niki is building her career as a non-Executive Director. She is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She began developing her expertise in this capacity in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. From 1992-94 she was the Inaugural President of what is now the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and in this capacity led the merger of the then Australasian College of Occupational Medicine with the RACP, chaired the board of AFOM and sat on the RACP’s Council, and the Committee of Presidents of Medical Colleges.

Later in the 90s, after her business, NE&A Pty Ltd, was promoted as a best practice example of a small business doing business with the Federal Government, Niki was invited by the Minister for Small Business to join the National Procurement Board, representing small business.

From 2008-2012 she was appointed by the Minister for Industrial Relations, as a Commissioner on the Federal Government’s Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission, including 6 months as Interim Chair.

She was delighted to branch out and join the board of The Gertrude Association, which runs the Gertrude Street Projection Festival in Melbourne in 2013. Also in 2013 she was appointed to the Drink Wise board.

In 2014 Niki was invited to join the Health Research and Ethics Committee, a board sub-committee at Epworth.
